Tour Our Willow Floor Plan

Anyone in the market for new homes in Ridgefield WA or Edgewood WA should check out our Willow floor plan virtual tour, especially if you’re looking for a home that provides enough space for a home office as well as a homeschooling area. In today’s current market, a home that is flexible enough to provide these important spaces is in strong demand. Fortunately, we’ve always focused on creating home designs that can change with your family’s needs, thanks to spacious designs and bonus rooms.

The Willow is a two-story home with the main bedroom on the ground floor and at least two additional bedrooms upstairs. However, as with so many of our home designs, there are options to create up to five bedrooms. In addition, there are 2.5-3.5 bathrooms, a three-car garage, and 2,893 square feet.

From the moment you walk into the Willow home design, you’re greeted by a light, airy, spacious entry that sets the stage for the rest of the home. There’s even a built-in bench just off to the side of the front door, creating an excellent area to remove shoes, or, in the case of those who have a home office, it can serve as a waiting area for clients. This is particularly relevant as there’s a room on the other side of the main entry that works perfectly as a spacious home office.

As you move through the first floor, you’ll pass a dining room, before heading to the open plan kitchen and living room. The kitchen, with it’s attractive island, butler’s kitchen, walk-in pantry, and wealth of cabinet space, also includes an additional dining area. This means you could make the kitchen dining area your main dining place and turn the more formal dining room into another home office or a homeschooling area for the kids. Of course, there’s also a bonus room upstairs between the two bedrooms, which could also be used as a homeschooling area.

Both the dining room and the bonus room can easily be converted into a homeschooling area, even with multiple children, as they provide plenty of space. Create individual desks for your children, so they have a designated area where they can focus without the distractions they may have in their bedroom. If necessary, give each child some privacy to concentrate  by setting up bookcases or screens between the desks, giving them their own cubicle. Depending on the ages, you may want to include additional work tables for physical projects, and make sure there’s enough clearly labeled storage that is easily accessible. If you have a mix of ages, you may want to let the older children use the bonus room upstairs for their schooling and keep the younger children downstairs where you can keep an eye on them and help keep them focused. Because of the amount of space and flexibility in this home design, you have these kinds of options, while still having your own home office, as well.

Of course, life isn’t all work and no play, and the Willow home design provides plenty of room for fun. The bonus room upstairs can also be used as a game room, home theater, home gym, or a general hangout area. The family room downstairs is spacious and well-appointed with a fireplace and large windows. Plus, outside, you’ll find a covered back patio that is like a second living room. This spacious patio has room for enough seating and tables to host family and friends. Best of all, there’s a fireplace and the option to set up a TV over the fireplace! This is a great area for watching sports or just hanging out, plus there’s still plenty of yard for the kids to play in, while still in view.
These are just some of the perks of the Willow floor plan. With plenty of storage, a large laundry room, and the flexibility to even turn the home into a multi-generational design that provides additional privacy and autonomy, this home design is ideal for almost any lifestyle. If you’re looking for one of the new homes in Ridgefield WA  or Edgewood WA that can keep up with your family’s lifestyle now and in years to come, check out the virtual tour here on our website and then contact us to learn more about how you can make the Willow your own ideal home.
