Team Member Profile: Judah

Judah Smith is young, but he’s exactly the kind of person we want on our team. His drive and thirst for knowledge means that he takes his work seriously and is a great asset to Pacific Lifestyle Homes, a leading home builder in Southwest WA. He currently works as a land acquisition analyst.

Judah may be a new hire, having officially joined us at the start of this year, after graduating from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, but he has been a part of our team already. In the summer of 2018, he interned with us, doing erosion control and office administration work. Obviously, he impressed us and we were happy to have him become a permanent part of our team.

His current job has him assisting in the identification of acreage lots, subdivision lots, and raw land that we’re interested in purchasing, and communicating with landowners. That also involves performing market analysis and evaluating the strength of the market. He also writes letters of intent for simple contracts, and helps update our CRM system. His analysis and evaluation helps him assist his co-workers so they can ultimately better help our clients. “Many of the questions I’m asked by coworkers revolve in some way around to the usability/quality of land, pricing, or competitors in the area.”

A quest for knowledge is something that truly defines Judah. He’s always aiming to learn more and to help others better understand business and real estate. “I spend my free time reading or

spending time with family. I enjoy reading material pertaining to real estate, personal finance, leadership and business; again, I enjoy having the opportunity to learn something new.”

He’s just as happy to share that knowledge with others. In school, he was the Director of Finance for TEDx Grand Canyon University, aiding the student-run TED organization in executing the largest TEDX event in the Phoenix Valley each year. As if that weren’t impressive enough, he also started the GCU Real Estate Club at the university, which put on real estate-specific events for the student body. To top it all off, he has also been inducted into the Colangelo College of Business Hall of Fame. Oh, and he also completed his first triathlon in December 2020. “I loved training for the race and plan on doing more,” he said of his triathlon experience. We told you he’s got drive and determination!

We love having Judah as part of our team, helping make us a home builder in Southwest WA that people feel confident in working with to build their dream homes. We’re glad that Judah seems to enjoy working with us, too. “Management does a good job planning enjoyable events for the employees. There is a sense of comradery in the departments that I like. It’s fulfilling to see the work I complete contribute to the success of the company. It’s a small roll at this point but nonetheless fulfilling to see the direct impact of my work. I also love having the opportunity to learn something new everyday.”
