It is not a question of “Which flooring is best?”, it is “What is best for our new home?”

In our 5000 Square foot Design Studio we have a wide variety of flooring options for you to choose from. It is important when selecting your flooring to consider the average amount and type of traffic you will have in your home.

  • Do you have children?
  • Pets?
  • Enjoy entertaining?
  • Do you have the “leave your shoes at the door” rule?

Here is a terrific article by Mellisa Tracey for Realtor Mag.

Santa is not the only one checking his list twice!

New question: When we walked through a home under construction we saw blue tape around the home. What is that for?

Answer: Part of building a great home is making sure things are done right throughout the entire process.  The superintendent manages this home from a bare empty lot to a finished move-in ready home.  When a home reaches the final stages of construction,  the Superintendent conducts a final Quality Control walk through.

During this walk through the Superintendent notes any items that are in need of attention.  Most of the items are cosmetic such as grout, paint, door dings or floor scratches. As they note the items in need of repair they mark the item with blue tape, so the subcontractors can clearly see the area of repair and touch-up.

After the subcontractors have completed their final touch-ups,  the Superintendent will again inspect the home to insure the home is ready for its orientation and hand-off to its new owners.
